Buran is a small hosting company built around one idea: machines are better at machine work. Provisioning, billing, backups, monitoring — automated end to end, so humans only do what humans are needed for: real support.
The name comes from the Soviet Buran shuttle — the first spacecraft of its class to land fully automatically, in 1988. We liked the metaphor too much not to use it.
